What is the story behind the Meerkat Gang NFT collection?
Meerkat Gang is a project addressing issues that has been facing the cryptocurrency space over its life like greed, manipulation, centralised control & any other Monkey Business. The Gang has been in this space for the better part of the last decade & watched its development & witnessed the inception & development of ideas, innovation, projects, tokens, scams, marketing campaigns, projects pumped & dumped, impersonations & copycats. We noticed through the development of this space that monkey business always target newbies in the hype of cryptocurrency who fall victim for wrong information, manipulation, exit scams, rug pulling & risky & overvalued investments.
We decided to step in through the NFT space to create unique art pieces that depict the different problems & issues that threatens the healthy growth of the decentralised era. The first NFT collection is aiming to record history of such destructive or constructive activities & elevate the community knowledge, especially newcomers to spot hurdles dressed as opportunities in the future & ignore them.
Any attempt to centralise blockchain is a non sustainable solution, it can be a quick fix for the current scalability & other problems that real decentralised blockchain are still in the process to solve, but it does defeat the purpose of cryptocurrency on many levels. We are here to help the decentralised era grow smoothly & support its healthy growth until it is not an infant anymore, this is when its full potential is unleashed with all the opportunities that it brings with it. Now, we should all protect it & support it, hence the idea of our project. Meerkat Gang monitors politics around the cryptocurrency space & report them back to you.
